Simply Photography

I live in the moment, and so should you.

Look at the world around you and never stop looking for the beauty that it holds.

Nothing is as it appears.

Everything has a heart and soul, even if it is abandoned.

Simplicity is key.

Life’s a beach, make the most of it.

Enjoy the little things life has to offer, and don’t be afraid to get you hands dirty in the process.

Silence

I remember the first time we met. The sun was out and lighting up the earth, filling everything with life. I was so young, naive in a sense. But I couldn’t stop thinking about you as I stared with my baby blue eyes, trying to see what you’re intentions were. You were silent, but I wanted to listen. I reached out and accepted you into my life. You have been there ever since; never letting the darkest fears and coldest words let me down. All these years you remain silent. As the years passed and I grew older, fashions changed to a more serious tone and my room became cluttered with pictures of various photographs I was in and had taken. When I hid behind my camera to stop the world from seeing the real me, you never moved. You watched the seasons change; the leaves ignite from a forest tone to a fiery scheme and fall to the earth as they lived the last of their lives looking up at the sky. Yet you never spoke, you were always just there. You remained silent to the world, silent to everyone except me. Now I know you’ve gained a proper place in my profound heart. You’re always there, through the clashing of lightening, through heartbreak and remorse. You’ll always be there, silent to all but me.

Sometimes the world is better in Black and White.
